Cover-ups are all about control of information. In the case of Benghazi, the reality of the event, the evidence of the conspiracy itself must be kept hidden from the American  public at all costs. Of course, a small percentage of informed critical thinkers will never be fooled, but the simple fact is you don’t have to fool everyone all the time. You only have to fool most of the people, most of the time.

As an example, when police detain multiple suspects simultaneously, they are careful to separate each one and interrogate them alone. In this manner, the suspected criminals don’t have an opportunity to ‘get their story straight’ or to ‘prepare the lie’ that they will later employ in an effort to avoid prosecution and punishment for their crimes. In the case of Benghazi, as one of the world’s more provable cover-ups, the criminals involved had the opportunity to not only ‘get the story straight’ but to discuss the fact that they needed to ‘get the story straight’.  In an administrative disaster the size and scope of Benghazi it is logical that responders want to ‘be on the same page’ as far as sharing accurate, up to date information: this alone does not indicate a cover-up, conspiracy or criminal wrongdoing. However, when you consider all the evidence that Freedom of Information researchers have provided from the government documents pertaining to Benghazi, the issue of ‘getting the story straight’ is just one more piece of a puzzle that fits perfectly into the obvious picture of a massive, multi-agency and administrative cover-up.
