Total Recall

Time was when the tabloid media and their characteristic reporting reigned supreme at the supermarket check-out lines. It doesn’t seem to be that long ago, that as we waited in queue for an actual person (even now the term has become one of debate) to check out the products we were being programmed to purchase.

It was usually there, and at the moment, many a person were subconsciously seized and exposed to the latest sordid gossip and alien encounter/conspiracy stories? Certainly, these still exist in our more modern times, but such stories in print are rapidly being replaced by sensory-induced, electronically programmed and agenda manufactured Network News using hyper-sensationalized media reports and excessive levels of yellow journalism that rival even the bygone eras.

So, what is now being socially programmed in the human mind?  Has dystopia arrived yet? Who would have thought that Mind Kontrol was just science fiction? Need we really ask such questions?

Perhaps we do know more than we actually admit we know, to ourselves. “I want to believe.” Of course you do. …”just eat your peas!”

“It is simply a question of organizing and manipulating collective feelings in the proper way. If one can isolate the mass, allow no free thinking, no free exchange, no outside correction and can hypnotize the group daily with noises, with press and radio and television, with fear and pseudo-enthusiasms, any delusion can be instilled.” ~A.M. Meerloo
